Linda Mae Boyd Hill, 77, passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2023 in Thomasville, NC. She was born and raised in Gastonia, NC and graduated from Ashley High School, class of 1964.
Linda Mae graduated from UNCG in 1968 with a degree in business and economics. She worked in accounting in corporate tax and other areas from Burlington Industries to Hillcrest Veneer to Duracell Battery and R.J. Reynolds. She was last employed with High Point University Graduate School.
Linda Mae is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Robert Hill.
Linda Mae was preceded in death by her parents, Presley W. Boyd and Mae Hughes Boyd.
Linda Mae loved her kin folk everywhere. She loved family, family history, family stories and memories.
A visitation will be at McLean Funeral Directors of Gastonia from 12:30 PM until 1:30 PM on Monday, December 18, 2023. A graveside service will also be on Monday, December 18, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Union Presbyterian Church Cemetery, with Pastor James Holeman officiating.

Linda Mae and I were friends in high school -- a bunch of us went to the baseball games our senior year in Linda Mae's car. We had a lot of fun. We reconnected at our 50th and have enjoyed messaging each other since. Rest in peace friend. Sympathies to Bob and her family.
