Charles F. McArver


 

LOWELL - Charles Frederick McArver Jr., 67, passed away May 13, 2013, at his residence. 

He was the son of Margaret Alexander McArver and the late Charles Frederick McArver Sr

He was the owner of Energy Services Inc., was a US Marine Vietnam veteran, and was a member of Lutheran Chapel Evangelical Lutheran Church. He loved his family and grandchildren;

Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his wife of 35 years, Denise Sanford McArver; daughters, Cath-erine McArver, Amy Wooten, and Sarah McArver and husband Ben Halfhill, all of Lowell; sister and husband, Etheljohn McArver and Jim Gearhart of San Juan, Puerto Rico; brothers, Alex (Susan) McArver of Columbia, S.C., Brinkly (Toni) McArver of Charleston, S.C.; grandchildren, Jessica, Gracie and Finegan; and a number of nieces and nephews;

A service to celebrate his life will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at Lutheran Chapel Evangelical Lutheran Church conducted by the Rev. Michael Comer;

Burial will be in the church cemetery with military rites by the Gaston Honor Guard

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Ward Funeral Service, 220 South Broad Street.

At other times they will be at the home of Margaret McArver, 1529 South New Hope Road, Gastonia.
