Karl was someone who was pretty quiet, but loved to play pranks. Once in study he threw spitwads on the ceiling and made them stick. The teacher saw someone do it and he pointed to me and I received the punishment. He was quietly very brilliant and worked for Phillips Petroleum, a consultant to the oil industry and then decided to go to veternarian school where he finished second in his class. Of course we all remember his father, Frank, who ran the CDA Store for all those years.

Karl and I were good friends at Ashley. He always told me he was going to Clemson and major in automotive engineering or automotive design. We lost touch after high school. Apparently he had a change of mind with regard to his career path.Does anyone know when or how he died?
