Dallas - Judith "Judy" Kay Grissom Stewart passed away peacefully October 31, 2021, at her home in Dallas, NC. She was born in Gastonia, NC, on June 15, 1946, to the late George Lester and Edith Jennings Grissom.

Judy is survived by her daughter, and son-in-law, Christy and Clifton Crowe of Dallas, NC; son, Randy Allen Barbee of Iron Station, NC; grandsons, Taylor Graham and Caleb Crowe; great-grandchildren, Rylan and Tensley Graham all of Dallas, NC; sisters, Shirley Grissom Hamilton of Wilson, NC, and Carolyn Grissom Glaze of Hickory, NC; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In addition to her parents, Judy was predeceased by her siblings, and their spouses, Rev. George (Sylvia) Grissom, Gene (Kathleen) Grissom, and Eva Grissom (Nathan) Jones; brothers-in-law, Walter Hamilton, Vernon Cahoon, and Gene Glaze.

Judy was a 1964 graduate of Ashley High School in Gastonia. For many years she was employed as Office Manager at The Gastonia Children's Clinic. During that time, she continued her education by attending seminars, Medical Managers Group Meetings, and received a Certificate in Health Care Management from Pfeiffer College Charlotte.

Judy was a member of Olney Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed trips to the mountains, reading, baking, taking care of her flowers, and keeping in touch with friends and family. Taylor, Caleb, Rylan, and Tensley brought much joy to her every day and she loved living close to them.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, November 6, 2021, at 1:00 PM at Olney Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 251 Olney Church Road, Gastonia, NC 28056.

A recording of the service will be available online, as well.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to New Life, 127 Susan Elaine Drive, Gastonia, NC 28056.
